Santa Monica Pier Family Session

It's always great to get outdoors and play around in the surf. That is exactly what my client had in mind when I suggested a fun family session at the Santa Monica Pier. We scheduled to shoot around the pier but there was some construction going on so we headed down to the sand and played around in the surf. I love Santa Monica. I am always there with my boys laughing and running or playing on the swings. We had just as much fun during our session.

Sabrina is the nanny of two of my clients. She saw my images in their homes and insisted I photograph her family before her oldest heads off to college. She actually graduates high school today!!!! Congratulations Myra!!!!
Aren't they just adorable? Such a loving family.

  How cute are they?

Fun Family in Palos Verdes

You know me, I'm a mush for a quirky kid with a mischievious smile.

And I'm no stranger to them either, I have two (three really) crazy ones at home but when I met little Ian over two years ago I was struck by love at first sight. It took a minute for him to warm up to me, actually it took the entire duration of our photo shoot but now on round three and a little sister added to the mix he and I are best buds.

Capturing this family's annual photo is so much fun. We ventured out to the cliffs of Palos Verdes walking around the park and staring at the lighthouse.
We looked on quietly as the researchers peered through their binoculars out at the waves trying to spot a whale or two. We didn't see any.... but the researchers said that 8 whales had been spotted since sunrise.

It took a lot of bribing but I finally got a smile out of Natalie, at the end of our session. Lollipops work wonders.

XOXO

Mother's Day- a month late

It's here again. The day where I hope to sleep until 2pm unbothered and wake up refreshed to a big homemade breakfast/lunch complete with mimosa. A massage will follow than a nap......
a girl can dream, right?

I do love Mother's Day. My kids shower me with kisses and my hubby does the cooking and dishes. Maybe I'll get a nap in maybe not but it truly doesn't matter, I love being spoiled and I love spending time with my boys, all three of them!

We spent the past weekend in Palm Dessert for our super best friends wedding. It was so hot but so much fun. Jatin was battling what we thought was Strep Throat but it turned out to be Staphococcus in the throat and he had a 103+ temp most of the week. 103 inside the body and 103+ outside does not make for a happy 8 year old.

We stayed indoors and took naps ( I love naps) and when the wedding day arrived he was a trooper and got dressed up for me. He did not want his picture taken but I can be very persuasive. (Popsicle promises)

Here is my beautiful boy. @ The JW Marriott Palm Dessert.

Than there was this kid. Super charismatic, super dancer and always ready for a good time. Kingston owned the dance floor and everyone in it. This boy is toooo much.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mama's out there. From my family to yours.

Orange County Newborn Portraits

Meet little Santino.
The absolute "BEST" little model I have ever had the pleasure to photograph. This
little bundle slept for me the entire shoot. We transitioned from one set up to another
with ease like he had done this a million times.

I met little Santino while he was still in his mommy's belly during our maternity session a few months back. She was absolutely breathtaking and I felt so fortunate to be the lucky photographer who got to capture her blossoming belly.  Here is a quick glimpse at our sessions.

and of course Mommy-to-be was just as beautiful.

Thank you Krista for allowing me the pleasure to meet and photograph your adorable bundle of joy. I'm already planning our next "sailor" session.

XOXO
Michele
